Winter has basically arrived, which means time for another note to you, our NE Ohio partners. In this update, the focus is on the Ohio Arts Council’s updated grantmaking Guidelines and the deadlines for our grant programs for fiscal year 2024.

OAC Grant Program Deadlines and Reminders

Ohio Arts Council annual and multiyear grant applications are now open. The OAC staff and board spent the summer and early fall reviewing and adjusting the Guidelines for all our grant programs. Be assured, operating support remains an option for eligible organizations, and some of our project grant programs have a fresh look. Please take some time to review and consider which grant program or programs best fit you and your organization’s needs.

Operating Support:

Sustainability – general operating support for organizations of all sizes – February 1, 2023 (Group A full application) or April 1, 2023 (Group B update)

Are you a returning grantee and not sure which group you’re in? Check our list to see whether you’re in Group A or Group B.

Project Support:

ArtsNEXT – funding for bold, ground-breaking projects – March 1, 2023

ArtSTART – general project support for organizations – April 1, 2023

ArtsRISE – expanding access and inclusion of historically underrepresented populations –multiple deadlines in 2023

Capacity Building – engaging outside expertise to strengthen internal organizational knowledge – May 1, 2023

Ohio Artists on Tour – artist fee support for presenters – May 15, 2023

Arts Education (for arts organizations):

Arts Partnership – support for arts education projects – March 1, 2023

As a reminder, all final reports for grants you have been awarded, or final report updates for Sustainability and Arts Access grants in off-years, are due 30 days following the grant agreement end date.

Arts Impact Ohio 2022

The Arts Impact Ohio conference was a big success. In case you were not able to attend or if you would like to revisit a workshop, we have provided the video recordings of many of the conference’s workshops and plenaries. To access these videos, just click here.
