Serving as a bridge between the nonprofit and philanthropic communities, Foundation Center connects people who want to change the world to the resources they need to succeed.

Through both virtual and in-person services, organizations and individuals have access to training, insights on philanthropy, opportunities to network with peers, and access to quality knowledge tools. The Foundation Center website and GrantSpace, serve as one-stop shops to meet diverse needs. Nonprofit professionals can access live chat help, 990 tax returns, sample documentsblog posts, videos, data, and frequently asked questions.

Through Foundation Directory Online, a database featuring more than 140,000 foundations, grantseekers can take their research and planning to the next level.  Nonprofit professionals in Summit County can access this free database at four FIN locations throughout Summit County: the Akron-Summit Public Library, BVU: The Center of Nonprofit Excellence, Hudson Library and Historical Society, and the Twinsburg Public Library.

In addition to online webinars, live streaming, and e-learning courses, Foundation Center provides a number of in-person courses in the greater Akron area. These trainings are designed to help nonprofits build capacity, connect with peers, and engage with funders.
