Guidelines
Appropriate employee conduct includes:
- Greeting all customers, visitors, and coworkers in a courteous manner;
- Refraining from behavior or conduct that is offensive or undesirable, or which is contrary to the company’s best interests;
- Reporting to your supervisor suspicious, unethical, or illegal conduct by coworkers, customers, or suppliers;
- Cooperating with investigations;
- Complying with all safety and security regulations;
- Wearing clothing appropriate for the work being performed;
- Performing assigned tasks efficiently and in accord with established quality standards;
- Reporting to work punctually as scheduled and being at the proper workstation, ready for work, at the assigned starting time;
- Giving proper advance notice whenever unable to work or report on time;
- Smoking only at times and in places not prohibited by company rules or local ordinances;
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in the workplace and work areas.
The following conduct is prohibited, and individuals engaged in it will be subject to discipline, up to and including termination:
- Possessing firearms or other weapons on company property; fighting or assaulting a coworker or customer; threatening or intimidating customers, coworkers, security guards, or guests;
- Engaging in any form of sexual or other harassment;
- Reporting to work under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs, or narcotics or using, selling, dispensing, or possessing alcohol, illegal drugs, or narcotics on company premises;
- Disclosing secrets or confidential information;
- Falsifying or altering any record or report, such as an employment application, medical reports, production records, time records, expense accounts, absentee reports, or shipping and receiving records;
- Stealing, destroying, defacing, or misusing company property, another employee’s property, or a customer’s property;
- Misusing communications systems, including electronic mail, computers, Internet access, and telephones;
- Refusing to follow supervisor’s instructions concerning a job-related matter or being insubordinate;
- Failing to abide by safety rules and policies;
- Soliciting or distributing in violation of company policies;
- Smoking where prohibited by local ordinance or by Environmental Design Group (refer to the section on Smoking for more details);
- Using profanity or abusive language;
- Sleeping on the job;
- Gambling on company property;
- Playing pranks or engaging in horseplay;
- Wearing improper attire or having an inappropriate personal appearance;
- Excessive use of cell phone for personal calls, texting, email, or any of its other features.

Guidelines
- Hanging work on the wall is permitted; can use existing nails in the wall for 2D work
- Weight limits apply for large works that need to be drilled into the wall or hung from the ceiling
- Some of the wall space is navy blue, but most of the walls are neutral
- The student can rearrange furniture and existing artwork on the walls to make room for their work
- Ample space for pedestals/3D work
- Office is staffed during daytime hours
- Willing to host a reception
- Public parking is available in the State Street garage
