Arts & Culture Patron: Kelli Fetter
Kelli is the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations at The University of Akron. In her role, she fosters relationships with University of Akron alumni through programs and events such as Homecoming and the Roo Crew volunteer program. She also works with current students through the UA Legacy Program and as an advisor to the University Ambassadors.
Prior to her role at UA, Kelli spent more than seven years at Downtown Akron Partnership (DAP) as the Director of Engagement and Events. As part of her role at DAP, she worked closely with local artists and arts organizations to offer innovative, accessible, and inclusive programming including several outdoor concert series, arts festivals, and public art projects.
“Since a young age, the arts have always played a significant role in my life. From being in band, musical productions, and attending summer art camps growing up, to having opportunities to attend and take part in arts and culture programming in the community. These experiences all showed me the importance and impact that arts can have on our lives.”
“I am grateful to live in a community full of incredibly talented, dedicated, and inspiring artists, arts leaders, and organizations like ArtsNow. Over the past two years especially, the arts and culture community in Akron has proven to be resilient and innovative. They have shown that now more than ever, it is vitally important to be a supporter of the arts.”
