Board Member: Nicole Chavers

Program Officer, GAR Foundation

Nicole is a Program Officer at the GAR Foundation, where she works closely with grantees and community organizations to drive impactful funding and partnerships. She manages a diverse portfolio of grantees, conducts site visits, prepares grant recommendations, and fosters community collaborations. With a proactive approach to problem-solving and staying informed on emerging grantmaking strategies, she ensures meaningful outcomes for the foundation’s initiatives.

Prior to her current role, Nicole held leadership and analytical positions at FirstEnergy Corp., United Way of Summit & Medina, and Huntington National Bank. She has extensive expertise in strategic planning, financial management, marketing, and community relationship management. As the Owner of Alchemy Consulting Group, she created and managed content creation and digital media for small businesses. She is currently pursuing an MBA at Miami University to enhance her skill set further.

Beyond her professional life, Nicole is passionate about accessible mental & physical health tools which lead her to study and obtain a yoga teaching license in 2020. Additionally, she currently serves as an Advisory Board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is also a proud mother to her artist/teacher daughter, who resides in Los Angeles, California.
