AKRON, OH (July 18, 2024) – Join ArtsNow, the backbone agency for arts and culture in Summit County, for the third annual State of the Arts at The Knight Stage, located within the historic Akron Civic Theatre in downtown Akron, on Wed., Oct. 23, 2024, from 4:00 – 5:30 PM.

This annual event brings together artists, performers, and community leaders for an unforgettable evening of inspiration and creativity—and helps to fund the vital work of ArtsNow. Guests will experience engaging performances, thought-provoking discussions, and a chance to connect with the heart of our local arts and culture scene.

This year, awards will be presented to:
ArtsNow Distinguished Patron Award to Olivia Demas: As a founding board member of ArtsNow, Olivia Demas is a dedicated and passionate patron of the arts. She has significantly contributed to the arts community through her unwavering support, philanthropy, and advocacy.

ArtsNow Visionary Leader Award to Christine Amer Mayer: President of GAR Foundation and a founding board officer of ArtsNow, Christine has a strategic vision and dedication that has not only strengthened ArtsNow but enhanced the entire region’s cultural vitality.
