Summit County Arts and Culture Sector Scope Survey

Have you ever wondered how many colleagues you actually have? Or how many businesses comprise the creative economy in Summit County? How far does the reach of arts and culture extend into the education, tourism, quality of life, and economic vitality of our region?
We need your help to find out. In 2020, ArtsNow has been investing in work that will demonstrate and uncover the powerhouse that is the arts and culture sector in Summit County. In working with our partners, we’ve been able to identify gaps in our research, so ArtsNow has put together this inaugural assessment of arts and culture in Summit County.
Help us learn more about your needs by completing this survey by Friday, February 12. To help us view the full picture of arts and culture in our area, there are three survey tracks: nonprofits, for-profits, and individual artists.
Our goal is to understand the full economic power, cultural breadth, and capacity to serve that exists in the arts and cultural sector. This survey will ask for estimated financial information as well as COVID impact information. The more accurate numbers you can provide, the better image we’ll be able to compile of the full creative sector in Summit County.
This survey is intended for registered 501(c)3 nonprofits in the United States: https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/exempt-organization-types
If you operate on a for-profit basis as an arts or cultural business in Summit County, such as a gallery, a graphic design studio, or a performance venue, this category is for you.
If you are “an LLC of one,” self-employed, a contractor, or otherwise employed in the sector but not a dedicated employee of a single organization, this category is for you.
In order for this data to be fully utilized, it must be accurate. For this reason, we are committed to never sharing the information you submit beyond a scope of use that benefits the entire sector. This means that all data provided to this survey will be kept private. All responses will be anonymized prior to aggregation and analysis, and any shared reporting or results will be anonymized as well.
