Drew Louis, a 17-year-old aspiring stage performer of Hudson, has been entertaining Summit County audiences with his singing and acting since he was belting out tunes from the back seat of his parents’ car. Now with the help of Pro-Model & Talent Management, he’s taking is talents to the International Modeling and Talent Association Convention in New York, July 9th – 13th.

Louis has performed in over 25 musical productions, taking the stage as Lord Farquaad in Shrek, Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, and Ren in Footloose. He’s also the lead singer of Treemore, a pop-rock band with R&B influences. Now, with the help of a local talent agency, he’s going to show off all those skills at the IMTA Convention.

Pro-Model & Talent Management, based out of Akron, says that Louis finds his success by merging so many disciplines. “Singing is acting,” Louis says, arguing that good singing is only part of a great performance. A performer must also act in order to put on a great show.
